The Winter Jam Arrives At Manhattan’s Central Park

Jan 15, 2018 Dr Kristina Nelson

If you are ready to squeeze in some old-fashioned winter fun, then come and attend the Winter Jam, happening at Central Park on Saturday, January 27th from 11 AM until 3 PM. A variety of winter sports activities will be offered for your participation and enjoyment, and the event is both family-friendly and free to attend. So if you are a little short on cash after the holidays, this gives you the chance to do something fun with the kids while getting in some great exercise.

A Bevy Of Winter Sporting Fun

Presented by NYC Parks, I Love NY, Lake Placid, and I Ski NY, this year’s Winter Jam is a free sporting festival that allows all ages to participate. You’ll get some fun snow to play with, brought to you by Gore Mountain, and some other great activities will also be present. These other activities include arctic golf, sledding, live ice sculpting, skiing, snowshoeing, a snow filed, a warming hut and the Taste NY Winter Market. Many of these events will teach you how to do certain activities, and if your child is under the age of 18, you’ll need to bring a photo ID and sign a waiver to allow your child to participate in the events.

Attending The Event

There is no cost to attend the Winter Fest, as it is free for all ages. The event will be held on Saturday, January 27th from 11 AM until 3 PM. The event takes place in Central Park in the Bandshell Area. You’ll want to enter through 72nd Street when you arrive. For more information about the Winter Fest, please visit their website here.
